The best Tapfiliate alternative for a program that is starting or growing is one that does not charge a fixed plan before your affiliates sell. Tapfiliate charges $179 a month for custom domains and multi-level commissions. Usage-based pricing includes both from day one and stays cheaper than that until your affiliates sell about $8,600 a month.

Most comparison pages list plan prices and stop there. That is not the number you pay. What you pay depends on which plan your sales volume, affiliate count and feature needs push you into.

This guide prices seven alternatives at three sales levels, using each vendor's public pricing page, checked on October 7, 2026. It also covers why teams leave Tapfiliate in reviewers' own words, and where each option falls short, including the one we build.

How much does Tapfiliate cost in 2026?

Tapfiliate costs $89 a month on the Launch plan and $179 a month on Scale. Billed annually, that drops to $74 and $149 a month ($890 and $1,790 a year). Enterprise is priced on request. The pricing page lists no percentage fee on sales; the cost comes from the plan plus overage charges (tapfiliate.com/pricing, checked October 2026).

The Launch plan is a starter tier: one program, 50 affiliates, no multi-level commissions and no automated payouts. If you need a custom domain, multi-level commissions or more than 50 affiliates, the fair comparison price for Tapfiliate is Scale, at $179 a month.

Why do people leave Tapfiliate?

People leave Tapfiliate mostly over billing and price relative to results, not over broken software. Tapfiliate holds 4.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot (27 reviews) and 4.5 out of 5 on Capterra (66 reviews) as of October 2026, and reviewers often praise its support and ease of use. The complaints cluster in three places.

Charges after the trial. This is the most common theme in one-star reviews:

"Had to enter payment details to view their product, they then charged my credit card for 3 months for a service I never used, they never sent a single email about end of any free trial, never sent me a contract or any invoices." Trustpilot, February 2026

"They started charging whitout sending a simple email. Their funnel is built for getting your money" Capterra, CMO, August 2020

Price versus value. Small programs feel the flat fee most:

"Lack of support, no ROI, Interfaces are complex, no onboarding or customer follow up. Expensive!" Capterra, CEO, November 2025

"Pricing is another thing that could be improved on. Performance based pricing is something I would" Capterra, Founder, May 2018 (the sentence is cut off in the original review)

Reporting depth. "Reporting features are rather limited to me. It takes a bit of effort to analyze results." (Capterra, Marketing Manager, March 2021)

What should you look for in a Tapfiliate alternative?

Look at the pricing model first, then payouts, then integrations. A tool that is cheap at $2,000 a month in affiliate sales can be expensive at $50,000, and the reverse. Check these seven points before you sign up for any trial:

  • Pricing model: flat plan, revenue cap, price per active affiliate, or a percentage of affiliate sales.
  • Plan limits: revenue caps, affiliate caps and conversion caps decide when you are forced to upgrade.
  • Payouts: does the tool send money to affiliates, or only calculate what you owe them? Sending usually carries a processing fee.
  • Billing integration: Stripe, Paddle, Shopify or an API. If your billing system is not supported natively, you need a developer.
  • Recurring commissions and refunds: a refund should reverse the commission automatically.
  • Multi-level commissions: if partners recruit other partners, check which plan includes it.
  • Custom domain: most tools put this behind a higher tier.

What does each alternative cost at $2k, $10k and $50k in affiliate sales?

Leaving aside LeadDyno, which prices by affiliate count, monthly costs at $2,000 in affiliate sales range from $29 to $89. At $10,000, they range from $29 to $206.99. At $50,000, published prices range from $59 to $756.99, and two tools give no exact price. The table uses monthly billing and the cheapest plan covering each sales level.

How we calculated the table

We read each pricing page on October 7, 2026 and picked the cheapest monthly plan whose limits cover each sales level. Payout processing fees, extra seats and annual discounts are excluded. Tapfiliate's $10,000 cell shows both plans because Launch only works if you stay within 50 affiliates and 500 conversions a month.

PartnerBee charges $6.99 per 30-day cycle plus a fee on affiliate-tracked sales: 2% up to $10k per cycle, 1.5% from $10k to $50k, 1% above $50k, one rate by cycle volume. The first $1,000 in affiliate-tracked sales is charged 0%, once, and organic sales are never charged. The math: $2,000 × 2% + $6.99 = $46.99. $10,000 × 2% + $6.99 = $206.99. $50,000 × 1.5% + $6.99 = $756.99. The one-time $1,000 is left out so the numbers reflect a normal month.

Compare the plan you would actually need

Entry plans look cheap until you need the features a growing program uses. These are published plans that include both your own domain and multi-level commissions, compared with usage pricing (pricing checked October 2026):

Plan with own domain and multi-levelPrice per monthUsage pricing is cheaper until
FirstPromoter Business$99$4,600/month in affiliate sales
Tapfiliate Scale$179$8,600/month

The break-even is (plan price minus $6.99) divided by the 2% rate. Below it, you also keep multiple programs and multi-level commissions in the same account.

Most new programs sell little for months, so the first year matters most. On a hypothetical ramp from $0 to $5,000 a month over 12 months ($23,250 in total affiliate sales), our calculation gives: PartnerBee about $529, FirstPromoter Business $1,188 and Tapfiliate Scale $2,148. With your own domain and multi-level included in all three, PartnerBee costs less than half.

The 7 best Tapfiliate alternatives, with honest pros and cons

Each alternative below wins for a specific kind of program. Disclosure: PartnerBee is the product behind this blog, so it is listed first, with its weak spots stated as plainly as everyone else's.

1. PartnerBee

Best for: a SaaS or subscription business launching its first affiliate program, selling under about $4,000 a month through affiliates.

  • Pros: $6.99 per 30-day cycle plus a percentage of affiliate sales, with no plan tiers. Every account includes multiple programs, optional multi-level commissions (two levels above the seller, inside the program's total rate) and a white label custom domain with SSL. Recurring or one-time commissions, and a refund reverses the commission. Connects to Stripe, Asaas, Vindi and Digital Manager Guru by webhook, or through a JS snippet and REST API. It also has a Tapfiliate integration that mirrors affiliates added in Tapfiliate, so both can run in parallel while you switch.
  • Watch for: the fee is a percentage of affiliate sales, so a program selling well above $10,000 a month should compare it with flat plans. No native Shopify or Paddle integration yet (the REST API covers custom checkouts).

2. Rewardful

Best for: Stripe-based SaaS that wants payouts handled for it.

  • Pros: Starter at $49 covers up to $7,500 a month in affiliate revenue. Optional managed payouts on every plan. Strong Stripe focus.
  • Cons: managed payouts carry a 3% processing fee. Custom domain starts at Growth ($99). Revenue caps push you up a tier as you grow (rewardful.com/pricing, October 2026).

If Stripe is your billing system, our guide to the Stripe affiliate program setup shows how the tracking works with any of these tools.

3. FirstPromoter

Best for: subscription businesses on Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly or Braintree, not only Stripe.

  • Pros: multi-tier commissions up to 3 levels on every plan. Enterprise at $149 covers everything above $15,000 a month. Annual plans from $490 a year.
  • Cons: Starter caps at $5,000 a month and 1,000 affiliates. Custom domain starts at Business ($99) (firstpromoter.com/pricing, October 2026).

4. Tolt

Best for: small SaaS that wants a custom domain on the entry plan.

  • Pros: Basic at $69 covers up to $10,000 a month and includes a custom domain. Auto payouts by PayPal, Wise, local bank, crypto and wire from Growth. 14-day trial with no card.
  • Cons: Basic is manual payouts only, and auto payouts carry a 2% processing fee. Above $50,000 a month is custom pricing (tolt.com/pricing, October 2026).

5. Partnero

Best for: a single program at high volume.

  • Pros: Starter at $59 has no revenue cap, so it is the cheapest published price at $50,000 a month among plans not tied to affiliate count. Automated PayPal or Wise payouts carry no Partnero fee. 30-day trial.
  • Cons: Starter includes one program; three programs cost $199. Extra team seats cost $29 a month each, and Partnero-managed payouts carry a 7% fee (partnero.com/pricing, October 2026).

6. PromoteKit

Best for: micro-SaaS selling up to $10,000 a month through affiliates.

  • Pros: Pro at $29 includes a custom domain and covers up to $10,000 a month. A free plan covers up to 3 referrals.
  • Cons: above $10,000 a month the price is quote-only. One-click payouts cost 5% to a bank account or 8% to a card. Multi-level commissions are not mentioned on the pricing page (promotekit.com/pricing, October 2026).

7. LeadDyno

Best for: programs with a few productive affiliates and high sales each.

  • Pros: unlimited clicks and conversions on every plan. Multi-level marketing from Essential ($129). 30-day trial and 15% off annual billing.
  • Cons: the price follows active affiliates, not sales: $49 for 50, $129 for 150, $349 for 500 and $749 for unlimited. A program with many low-volume affiliates pays the most, which is the usual reason people search for LeadDyno alternatives (leaddyno.com/pricing, October 2026).

Which Tapfiliate alternative fits your program?

Pick by where your program is today.

  • Launching or still proving the channel: usage pricing (PartnerBee). You pay $6.99 per cycle until affiliates sell, with every feature included.
  • You need your own domain, multi-level and several programs together: PartnerBee includes all three in every account. Tapfiliate puts them on Scale at $179 a month.
  • Moving off Tapfiliate without a gap: PartnerBee's Tapfiliate integration keeps affiliate lists in sync while both run.
  • You bill in Brazil with Pix or boleto: PartnerBee connects to Asaas, Vindi and Digital Manager Guru.
  • Affiliates already sell over $10,000 a month: compare flat plans on the full feature set you need, including payout fees.
  • Shopify or WooCommerce store: Tapfiliate itself lists 30+ integrations, including Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce. Staying may be the right call.
  • Many affiliates, small sales each: avoid per-affiliate pricing such as LeadDyno.

How do you switch from Tapfiliate without losing commissions?

Switch in four steps so no affiliate loses a commission in transit. The risk is the gap between the last click tracked by the old tool and the first click tracked by the new one.

  1. Export your affiliates and balances. Download the affiliate list, referral codes and every unpaid commission before you change anything.
  2. Settle or carry over what you owe. Pay pending balances, or record them in the new tool as the opening balance.
  3. Run both trackers for one cookie window. Install the new tracking alongside Tapfiliate and send affiliates their new links. Conversions from old cookies still land in Tapfiliate. In PartnerBee, the Tapfiliate integration keeps the affiliate lists in sync during this window: add one webhook per program on Tapfiliate's "Affiliate added" trigger.
  4. Cancel before the renewal date and keep the confirmation. Given the billing complaints above, save the cancellation email and the last invoice.

FAQ

What is the cheapest Tapfiliate alternative?

For a new program, usage-based pricing: PartnerBee costs $6.99 per 30-day cycle plus 2% of affiliate sales, with 0% on the first $1,000. Compared with plans that include both your own domain and multi-level commissions, it stays cheaper until about $4,600 a month in affiliate sales against FirstPromoter Business and $8,600 against Tapfiliate Scale (pricing checked October 2026).

Does Tapfiliate charge transaction fees?

Tapfiliate's pricing page lists no percentage fee on sales. The cost is the plan, $89 a month for Launch or $179 for Scale, plus overage: $1.50 per 1,000 clicks and $15 per 1,000 conversions on Launch, or $1 and $10 on Scale, once you pass the monthly allowance (checked October 2026).

What are good LeadDyno alternatives?

LeadDyno prices by active affiliates, from $49 for 50 to $749 for unlimited. If your program has many affiliates who each sell a little, pricing that follows sales fits better than pricing per affiliate: usage pricing at $6.99 per cycle plus a percentage of sales has no affiliate limit.

Pick the pricing model that matches your sales curve

The right Tapfiliate alternative is the one whose price rises the way your program grows. When the program is new and you do not know when it will sell, paying $89 to $179 a month in advance is the expensive part.

PartnerBee is built for that second case: $6.99 per 30-day cycle plus a percentage of affiliate-tracked sales, with 0% on the first $1,000 in affiliate-tracked sales (as of October 2026). Multiple programs, recurring commissions with automatic reversal on refunds, optional multi-level and your own domain come in every account, so no feature waits for a $179 plan.

Start your affiliate program on PartnerBee for $6.99 per 30-day cycle, with multiple programs, multi-level and your own domain from the first affiliate.
